Objective

The objective of this talk will be to provide an introduction to the SaltStack platform.

Description

In this talk, we will cover the basics of using SaltStack to configure servers and workstations through Salt’s powerful remote execution and configuration management engine. We will provide overviews of many of the core concepts and then provide demonstrations of each concept so that each attendee can immediately begin to use Salt to solve everyday problems in their IT environments.

Speaker bio

Mike Place is the Sr. Platforn Developer on the core engineering team at SaltStack. He works primarily on SaltStack core internals, with a focus on performance and optimization. He has twenty years of experience in UNIX and Linux systems engineering across a wide variety of environments.
